Hard to believe that another school year has come and gone! Finals have been graded, grades have been submitted and any poster that hasn't fallen off the walls yet due to humidity has been stored away until August. Students have said their goodbyes and, while maybe not outwardly shown, will be inwardly missed. In teaching sophomores and seniors, I am constantly passing the care of my students onto some else each year. I know they are in more than capable hands, but, like a parent, I still feel protective of them and want the best for them in their future.
And while the classroom may be bare and empty, much awaits this summer in order to do things better next year for a new group of students. I know that by mid-July I will be ready to come back and welcome my newest cohort of budding theologians (though they may not see themselves as such). The reality is, it will be here before we know it!
